In the 1920s, Thomas Edison told a reporter with Scientific American that he was working on a machine that could contact the dead. This story spread to numerous newspapers around the world. A few years later, Edison announced that he had been making a joke at the reporter's expense, and that he had not been working on such a device. Though Edison did not attempt to create such a device, he did believe that spirits might make contact in the future through the advent of better technology!
Definition
Speech or speech-like sounds, inaudible during recording but detected on electronic recording media on playback.
ITC
Instrumental TransCommunication (ITC) is a more general term than EVP and refers to communication between spirits or other discarnate entities and the living, through any sort of electronic device such as tape recorders, fax machines, television sets or computers. ITC include visual and other anomalies, rather than only auditory effects.

METHODS
VIDEO
We video tape all EVP sessions (where possible) So we have confirmation that all members and guests are accounted for and control of body movement, and or capturing visual confirmation.
DIGITAL RECORDERS
We only use digital recorders as well as the digital camcorders for EVP sessions. Analog has to many movable parts that can mislead or create great difficulity in identifying a recorded occurance of activity. We also place digital recorders in each corner of the room to determine where the activity is the loudest and therefore have a better chance of pinpointing the location.
EXPERIMENTS
Sitting through many EVP sessions in the days of old, it was common for people to smack there lips and create sounds while asking questions to be later confused for EVPs. Through research and experience I experimented with recording questions on one recorder and then playing them back for another to re-record with pre-recorded pauses for capturing any identifiable EVP. I am still working on this process and it is far from perfection, but it will rule out human errors and can be done while the location is completely empty.
OUR VIEWS
We never state that noises recorded during EVP sessions are in fact proof that we contacted the other side. We do however have recordings of unexplainable noises that occur at coincidintial times during the EVP sessions. We also spend time after the EVP attempting to recreate the same noise through process of elimination and or rule out natural causes. We have listed a few for you to listen to and determine for yourself what they may be.

Right after I ask for making contact anyway they can, you will hear a knock sound, (profound in video), we tried walking all around the room and adjacent hallway and could not reproduce the noise. Again it happened right after the question was asked.

This was recorded at 0305 in the morning in the attic of the Kennedy Farm House in Sharpsburg, MD.
This was recorded at or around 0415 am in the attic of the Kennedy Farm House in Sharpsburg, MD. It resembles a possible footstep. At the time of the recording a team of investigators and myself where the only ones in the museum style home located deep in the mountains.
We have many recordings, however it is extremely rare to have a full audible distinguishable word and or distinct sound captured in unison with a question! We hope to have more in the future!
