On a recent trip overseas, I had an epiphany or realization of what I wanted to do in the paranormal community. Years ago serving as the Deputy Chief for a paranormal organization in the Washington D.C.area, I realized I was spending too much time searching for what is not there and not enough for the things that are! In November of 2006 I founded AdventureMyths to begin this new venture in the paranormal community. Our primary focus is on historical properties that are in need of attention. Whether on the endangered list or not, most historical properties, buildings and places effect everyone in some form or another. Our purpose is to seek those locations out, talk to the unique individuals that have personal stories to contribute and investigate for ourselves. Every day, somewhere in the world someone visiting a historical property walks through a cold spot, sees what they think is a strange shadow or hears what sounds like a voice off in the distance. Our job is to validate these accounts that so many people from all walks of life experience and preserve them for future generations to experience. In every investigation there is an adventure and in every adventure is a legend waiting to be born, combine them and you have AdventureMyths....
AdventureMyths investigate different locations locally, nationally and internationally and discover if there is any validity to different myths, legends and folklore. Data is compiled and all adventures and investigations are documented through video and audio and a short documentary is created for viewers and listed on our
YouTube page on-line.
Some investigations have been published and full documentaries created for the establishment that was investigated. AdventureMyths style of creating a documentary relies on personal accounts, history and any validated or unexplained phenomena captured by the group during filming. Not only does the group enhance its research we also are able to provide historical locations a product (DVD) that they have the authority to reproduce and sell assisting in maintaining the property for years to come.
Although fun is one of the objectives, we at the same time try through a realistic approach to see what truly exists in the world of the unknown.
In addition to our main mission, we also serve the general public by educating them through video documentaries about the interesting myths, legends and folklore that surround us in our everyday lives.
We have traveled the US, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean to investigate and explore various locations.
